Our Team Members
Dr. Justin P. Martin
DVM & Practice Owner
Dr. Martin received an undergrad at Clemson University and finished veterinary medicine at University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys spending time on the family farm with his wife and two sons. He also enjoys riding horses and team roping in his spare time.
Dr. Jason Wright
DVM
Dr. Wright received his undergrad at Clemson University and finished vet school at Mississippi State. He has been practicing veterinary medicine for six years and comes from a farming background.
Dr. Melodie Broom
DVM
Melodie was born and raised in the Upstate of SC where she attended Clemson University to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating from Clemson, she attended veterinary school at the University of Georgia.
Melodie’s passion is mixed animal medicine; she enjoys internal medicine, theriogenology, herd health management and she cannot wait to further existing relationships and build relationships with local producers.
When Dr. Mel isn’t working you can find her doing anything outdoors from hunting and fishing the local lakes to spending time in the surrounding mountains from the back of a mule. She also enjoys spending time with her many animals including dogs, cats and horses.
Melodie is excited to have the opportunity to be back home in the beautiful upstate doing what she loves!!
Dr. Garrett Bailey
DVM
A true local and long-time member of our community, Dr. Bailey has been part of the Martin Veterinary Services family since his high school days. His dedication to animal care and veterinary medicine has been evident from the start, and we are proud to see his journey come full circle.
Dr. Bailey earned his undergraduate degree from Clemson University before completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University. He brings a well-rounded skill set and a passion for working with both large and small animals, providing exceptional care across all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery.
His strong roots in the area and genuine commitment to the well-being of animals make him a natural fit with our practice. Clients who know Dr. Bailey will appreciate his friendly, down-to-earth approach and deep understanding of the community’s unique needs.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Bailey enjoys spending quality time with his wife, exploring the outdoors through hunting, and traveling whenever possible.
Dr. Caleb Barron
DVM
Dr. Barron’s passion for veterinary medicine began early, growing up on a cattle farm in southeast Alabama. He earned his undergraduate degree from Troy University before receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. While completing his education, Dr. Barron focused extensively on mixed animal practice, developing a particular interest in farm animal medicine and small animal surgery.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his Boykin Spaniel, Nova. On the weekends, you can usually find him on the golf course or cheering on the Auburn Tigers and the Atlanta Braves.
Dr. Haylee Hutchins
DVM
Dr. Haylee grew up in Lancaster county, South Carolina riding horses and working at a nearby ranch throughout high school. She is a lifelong Clemson Tiger fan and graduated with a BS in Animal Science from Clemson University. She attended the University of Georgia for veterinary school with a large animal emphasis. Her professional interests include food animal production medicine and herd health, equine and bovine reproduction, and small animal preventative care. Most of all, she loves getting to know clients and patients and making connections.
In her free time, she enjoys tailgating and going to all the Clemson football home games, making sourdough, studying the Bible, and painting. She is excited to join Martin Vet Services and come back to the Upstate along with her two dogs, Sophie and Hunter, and her horse, Pistol.
Kelly Parham
Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kelly Parham is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and our head technician; she has been with Martin Veterinary Services since her externship in 2019. Kelly graduated from Tri-County Technical College in 2019 with an Associates in Applied Science with a major in Veterinary Technology.
When not working hard taking amazing care of our pet patients, Kelly enjoys taking her horse, Ray, for a nice leisurely trail ride and spending time with her friend and family.
Kelly resides in the upstate with her fur babies Granger, Drake, Bubba, Jolene, Oliver and Ray.
Chandler Wood
Licensed Veterinary Technician
A graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Tri-County Technical College, Chandler brings a strong background in large animal medicine to our team, with a special focus on bovine and swine care. He also has a professional interest in orthopedic procedures and hematology, where his attention to detail and diagnostic skills shine.
Outside of work, Chandler stays active on his family’s hog farm and enjoys fishing and spending time with his loved ones. At home, he’s kept company by his three loyal dogs, Kyro, Kenna, and Knash, who are always ready for an adventure or a quiet evening in.
Cheyenne Sapp
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Cheyenne is a proud graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Tri-County Technical College and a passionate mixed animal veterinary professional. While she enjoys all aspects of animal care, she has a special love for large animals and the art of surgery. Cheyenne brings compassion, skill, and energy to every patient she meets—whether they’re covered in fur, feathers, or hooves.
When she’s not working, Cheyenne loves spending quality time with her family and friends, and she’s most at home on a hiking trail with her husband and their adventurous dog, Willie Nelson (yes, that’s really his name!).
